For Honor open beta was announced by Ubisoft yesterday. The For Honor open beta will allow players to take part in this test from February 9 through February 12 prior to the game’s official release on February 14th. The For Honor open beta will be available for all players on all platforms that the game will be released for. This includes the current gen consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and Windows PCs.

Ubisoft also announced that prior to the start of the For Honor open beta, that they will host a live For Honor battle between some of the top Twitch steamers of the game during development/testing. This live stream will take place on February 7 starting at 2pm pacific standard time, be sure to tune into the For Honor Twitch channel: https://www.twitch.tv/forhonorgame. The live stream will feature all of the game modes, game play and features that will be available in the For Honor open beta, so players will know exactly what they will be able to try out with the open beta.

Game modes and features detailed by Ubisoft for the For Honor open beta include Elimination mode, which is a best of five rounds of four vs four matches, as well as Dominion, Brawl, and Duel modes. The For Honor open beta will also feature nine of the planned twelve playable hearoes. The final release will include a total of five different game modes with more possible through expansions and downloadable content packs.

For Honor is a hack and slash action game where palyers will choose a warrior from one of three factions or types of warriors, Knights, Vikings and Samurai. Players will specialize in one of four unique character classes available for each faction. The game includes both a single player campaign mode and five multiplayer game modes.
