Resident Evil 7: biohazard is a survival horror video game that has been developed and published by Capcom. Resident Evil 7: biohazard represents the eleventh game in the Resident Evil series of video games. The game is played in the first person perspective and can be categorized as a first person shooter. It is the first title in the Resident Evil series to be played from the first person perspective. In addition to being the first, first person shooter style game in the series Resident Evil 7 also introduces an entirely new cast of characters.
Resident Evil 7: bioharzard takes place 4 years after the events of the previous game, Resident Evil 6, and is set in the deep south, in a fictional city in the state of Louisiana. In the game players control the main character named Ethan who is in search of his wife who has gone missing. During his initial investigations he has discovered some mysterious occurances at an abandoned and decrepit mansion and former plantation. Soon after setting out on his investigation and search, Ethan encounters and fights a wide variety of creatures and monsters from within the mansion and surrounding plantation.
The game features a large array of weaponry for players to find and equip themselves with including pistols, shotguns, chainsaws, flamethrowers and much more. In addition to the first person shooter style action and combat, Resident Evil 7: biohazard also contains puzzle solving elements and resource management.
The game’s is set 4 years after the events of Resident Evil 6 in a fictional city in Louisiana. Taking on the role of Ethan, who is in search of his wife who has gone missing. Ethan’s investigation has led him to a abandoned and decrepit mansion.
The game was first announced by Sony in June 2016 at E3 2016 with a gameplay teaser trailer being released which include elements that did not end up in the final version of Resident Evil 7: biohazard.
Resident Evil 7: biohazard is available for Windows PCs, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PlayStation 4 version will be playable in virtual reality using the PlayStation VR headset.
